Early Morning at the Beach 2

I love this shot. It feels very melancholy with its dark lower section, the wispy waves above and the distant clouds in the sky. Above all, the perfect choice of shutter speed to blur the waves whilst retaining enough detail to give them definition is the key to make this more than just an ordinary shot. Did you really use a 45s shutter speed? I would have expected more blur in the water and maybe the sky with such an extended exposure. Definitely one for the wall and definitely one I would be most pleased to have made myself. Thanks for posting this photo.

Thanks Mark, yes the ocean was like a lake that morning with little wave motion, when I wanted a lot more.
