Interesting juxtaposition with the cell tower in the background.

Yes, there is a very gradual incline toward the viewer. I used this area to allow the engine to chuff and produce more steam as it drew closer to my camera position. This is a narrow-gauge, 36-inch, railroad and the smaller engine works pretty hard at this altitude.
 
It's always a privilege to photograph them, steam locomotives have character and dignity!
