I'm not a real fan of centered horizon lines because they add a peaceful static type of picture. The problem in this one is that it shouldn't be static because there is a path leading us. Therefore movement is necessary and the choice needs to be made which helps lead us along. If we crop the bottom a bit, then it's a picture of a fence and sky, if we crop the top a bit then the path becomes more dominant, which I think this picture should be. From there I would enhance the printing with a bit of burning and dodging in the sand to make sure that the path pulls us along
