Looks like a tatty MGB GT.
Almost bought one of these a few years back, worth a reasonable sum now if well kept or restored. Most had an 1800cc twin carb motor but there was also a V8 version.
Like the "Vehicles left at owner's risk" sign, this looks as if it has been there for some time.

I had one of these once. Great cars when they were tuned properly, but a pain to keep that way. And who in their right mind would design a car with the battery under the rear seat?
Nice find, I would not have resisted taking this shot either. Definitely a 70's MGB GT judging by the disc wheels and high back seat style. A white '69 GT was my only vehicle from '94 to 2000. Loved it. Early to later 60's as was mine, have 2 6volt batteries under the back seat in compartments for weight balance! Ah, but overdrive in 3rd and 4th made it a six speed car. Safety Fast was their motto. Thanks for sharing the pic!
