Duality; Quinn, Viernheim 2010

This started as a concept while at Quinns workshop that went wrong and that then inspired an idea. I planned to have two halves of the face and that they would be displayed separately next to each other. However on the first exposure the camera shook and after seeing the result I thought the plates had the potential to somehow symbolise the duality in most of us, especially if displayed as one. I have decided that my intention is to turn this in to a long term photographic project with other sitters.

I owe Quinn a contact print of this and this weekend is the one for doing that.

This is made of 2 4x5 CG bright ambrotypes scanned as negatives.
