I really like the idea here Kal, although I think it would work better if he was at the same distance away from the camera in both shots. (or maybe not -- the more I look at the image, the more I like the tension in the slight unbalance of frame of focus).

Thanks, I have been struggling with that too....tension and disruption of the geometry (which makes for endless possibilities) or straight two halves portrait with slight differences. I wish this was sharper too (but he is 9..and the sweet spot of this Petzval is small). I like how these fitted so that the head looked whole and the ears aligned etc. appreciate the feedback...it was on my mind...;-) Rgds, K
