Drystone Wall

Drystone Wall

We walked past this wall several times during our stay in Borrowdale in December/January. On this one occasion the light was perfect so I stood atop a stile and grabbed this shot before the light changed once more. You can see by the number of rivers and waterfalls on the distant fells that it had rained heavily and the rivers were all in spate.

Simple, elegant, and well designed. Though the foreground isn't very involving, it does help to frame the lighter central area of the print that draws the eye, and is involving! I like this a lot!

Marvelous image which captures the sense of place perfectly. Looks like it was difficult to print- and you did a great job.

I have never had the pleasure of being up in the hills of Borrowdale, yet have many times driven through and photographed the valley. Probably one of the nicest valleys known to man. At least this man.

So this is what it looks like from up there. Very beautiful. A lovely simple capture, I can hear the stillness, and beautiful tones.
