As I've been getting to grips with monochrome photography for about two years now (and an APUG member a little over a year) and have just bought myself a cheap and cheerful scanner, I thought it was about time to upload some images.
This series of six was part of my end of year project for a HND Photography course last year. This was looking at the impact of quarrying in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and I've tried to go for a gritty, photojournalistic aproach.
Although my tutor gave me general feedback as it related to my coursework I've not really had any critical comments about technique/composition etc. Any observations from fellow APUG members would therefore be most welcome. There's only a couple of these images that I think cut the mustard but I'd welocme some critical feedback.
By the way, these were 16"x12" prints so I've had to scan them in two parts and use software to join them together. I hope that's ok?
