'Mouth is hanging open. 'A slice or two better than a roll your own emulsion has a right to be - not unlike your maple tree sap harvest image.
 
The intended feeling is present and the chronology is intact. The exposure is correct (i.e., underexposed). This image is more than 'passable'. - David Lyga
 
Thank you all, I appreciate the comments. Controlling contrast was a challenge .. solved by minimizing agitation during development and pulling the plate out of the tray at the right time.
 
The old emulsions respond well to divided development. D23 in one bath and water in another is quite effective contrast controller. Don't yuh love development by inspection!
