Yesterday I had the pleasure of a visit from Frank Morrill and his wife of Charlton, MA. Frank had a show recently displaying dry plates of African-American families in the Worcester, MA area at the turn of the century. He never thought he'd have his own dry plate portrait so I was happy to oblige
Most of the plates in the collection he included in the show were taken outside of homes and under natural lighting, hence the staging of this portrait.
