This is a shot of a friend and a couple other guys collaborating on a big piece of graf in a closed off tunnel in Alberta. In almost every city I've been to in Canada (except some parts Toronto and Montreal), there is a massive anti-graffiti, urban cleansing movement. As a result graf artists are driven more and more underground to practice their art where their pieces won't get buffed and they won't get caught.
i like the way you took the shot. but what gets me more interested is the guys are wearing respirators while painting. They looks as though they were asked to do the work and in fact before I read the by line that is what I thought. OSHA first.
OSHA for you out of the country is watch dog for keeping the safety and health for the workers.
being in the safety biz, I noticed the respirators right away also. Goes to show that just because you paint graffiti for a living doesn't mean that you don't care what you're breathing!
Out of focus foreground objects usually bother me, but the rail works great in this picture.
From the thumbnail, this looks like 4 images.. One for each quarter of the square. Great image, brilliant perspective and interesting look into this lifestyle.
This is a very catchy photograph, lots of interest. The silhouetted figure is quite strong and bold. I also like the longish exposure, that works well and suggests a story. Interesting perspective. Very well done.
