The Nikon fit 70-300 Sigma lens is a good choice I have one in my bag as a light-weight option for those just in case moments when I need the extra reach. Good picture with an almost metallic texture.
Apart from the wondrerful composition of the silluette, the high shutter speed works perfectly with this image, making the water drops from being just white dots against the black background to having a solid form that gives them life.
ÎÏÏάβο!
Thank you both for your comments!!!
TPPhotog the sigma lens is indeed a valuable tool.
arigram you wrote something in the last line was it in Greek?? Feel free to pm me.
I have the Sigma 70-300 APO for Canon (the same lens I guess) and I am very happy with it. I use it for outdoor portraits a lot (until I get my 85 mm. f/1.8).
It's simply stunning, I can't stop looking at it! This may be a silly question but do you remember if your lens was fully racked out or near the 300 end when you composed your shot? I don't own a zoom but I do have a 200mm that I've used only rarely. This pic makes me think I should try harder with the 200. Thanks for posting it.
