Exposing film at night is so interesting. You just never know what is going to happen or exactly what you will get on film. My objective was to photograph downtown Roanoke at night, along with the Mill Mountain Star, a 100 foot neon structure. Partway through the exposure a train went by, adding much to the photograph since Roanoke has a storied railroad past.
I agree, I have this shot of boston, but a car went by also, the car light effect looks great but actually what happened was something reflected only at certain intervals further up on the lens, and there appears to be a fence effect in the sky but it's NOT pleasing... this train seems interesting once you know what it is, but I don't think it's immediate and looks more like the bottom is fogged, but then, once you know and look further, it makes you really look at it ... so it's both good and bad.
