Downtown Austin - 8x10 Three Way

8x10 triptcyh - wet plate collodion on aluminum.

On friday the weekend forecast for Austin was:
Overcast windy and REALLY cold for Saturday
Sunny Calm and a bit warmer on Sunday

I went ahead and braved it sat midday making some plates in down town. It was WINDY but sunny and beautiful, not to cold at all in the sun.
Sunday was bitterly cold as could be with NO sun and NO wind. My fingers were numb and it was painfully cold making/pouring wet plate.

This triptych was from the bitter sunday. The cold weather really did some strangeness to the chemicals, but I kinda liked it.

Also, meterology is based on some form of black magic.
