Douharataki Shrine in IR

Douharataki Shrine in IR

Douharataki Shrine on the slopes on Mt. Chokai. Stumbled across this place by accident. Surrounded on both sides by dual waterfalls, the water is said to contain healing properties.

I shot this in color as well, but the IR is very very different.

The scan is somewhat darker than the print, my apologies.

Any comments are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Gary

Amazing and beautiful.

Gary,
This a beautiful shot, straight out of a fairy tale. A 16 second exposure for infrared film seems fantastic - what did you rate it at?
At any rate it has worked a treat.

Cheers

Thanks for all the kind words, they are greatly appreciated.

I rated at ISO 3 and bracketed it 1.5 stops either way. Honestly I think a Wratten 87 filter would be better than the R72.

Tried the water as well, not sure if it healed anything, but more hair has fallen from my head(Better reread that sign)

Thanks again for all the kind words!

Gary
