I love the texture. Does the emulsion add to this, or is it mainly the paper negative?

Thanks everybody!, 'means a lot.

Brett, the texture is a result of the paper and specifically this unsubbed stuff, the emulsion has soaked into the fibers.

I wonder how well the negative prints "back onto itself"... if you know what I mean... taking a negative with the emulsion, and then using that negative to make a print on the same emulsion.

Nice. Take out the mercury vapor light and the no parking sign and you'd think it was done in the 1860s.
