Crop the cable and the telephone pole and you have got a winner.

Ah, but Hans, I saw the pole and the cable as part of the composition! Oh, well...

Yes, to crop or not to crop ..that's the question. Always a bit of a dilemma I find.

Never one for me Hans, I rarely crop my 6x6 negatives. Always compose for the square which I find very easy to deal with.

Ari, great shot. IMHO a little more space to the left, just a bit in order the post to become more a part and not a frontier of the photograph.

Excellent shot. For me the pole is distracting somehow, but very minor. I dont like any cropping to, I alway print full frame. The donkey is rendered in beautiful tones ... r.

Thank you for your wonderful comments guys. Now, about the pole and wire. As I have stated, they are completely intentionally part of the composition. I used them to frame the subject even further and in my view, it makes for a tighter and more complete scene, not just a landscape with a donkey. Telephone and electricity poles and wires are still extremely common in even the most photogenic places in Greece and often photographers complain about it. I decided to make them part of the composition as they are a reality I can't ignore or clone out in Photoshop.
