This badly beaten-up negative surfaced after many years. Digitally de-scratched somewhat. I thought I would never see this again. Taken when I was stationed at Pirinclik, nearby. Actually, the camera might have been an SRT-101. One forgets.
Thanks so much for the feedback. This was taken either 1972 or 1973, during the year I was stationed in eastern Turkey. The population was (and still is, I think) largely Kurdish. I have longed to return ever since.
Great photo. The light is very atmospheric. I found recently some B&W photos I took in Kenya in the early 1990's. The negatives were damaged like yours (they had been carelessly stored after I processed the film and left the whole film rattling around in a drawer). Some digital de-scratching rendered mine presentable too and brought back many memories. I was working in a hospital in a fairly remote area of Kenya.
