Pottstown, PA. Crop from 6x6, Bronica SQ-A, Zenzanon-S 80/2.8. Acros in Adonal 1:50 (10:30 at 21C). Lucky happenstance that the guy walked out when I was tripping the shutter.
Pottstown is in the Schuylkill River Valley about half way between Philadelphia and Reading in the SE quarter of Pennsylvania. It was a center of iron and steel making as far back as the late 1700s. Funny, I've spent two of the last three days in Pottstown, but receiving and hanging a juried show at The Hill School. My two shots of Olde Rusty Stuff were accepted, life is good. (I also own a Bronica PS 110 mm f/4.5 1:1 macro lens, but as those NRA guys like to say, bliorg will have to pry it from my cold dead hands!
What he said... Dino's is actually just a few blocks down Beech from Hill. Is the show over, or will it be up this week? I'd love to see it. Is/was in the CFTA?
The Perkiomen Valley Art Center 60th Open Juried Exhibition opens tomorrow, Boyer Gallery at CFTA, and will be up thru December 11th, subject to Turkey-day break and lack of weekend and evening hours. It's all flavors of art including a couple of sculptures, but I do have those two traditional B&W shots of "Dave's olde rust" topics in it. The Grande Plan(tm) is I will put the official title cards up tomorrow morning -- and drop three more framed pieces off at the Scenes of the Schuylkill River Heritage Area show about to happen at MCCC West (in the gallery at North Hall on High Street). This will all be "on my way" to the ceramic studio at MCCC Blue Bell (how'd I get myself into this .... ). Maybe Tuesday -- or maybe Thursday -- I'll be over there with a car load of "other technology" to photograph the winners. Then I will be baking "palette cookies" to add to the goody table at the reception on Sunday, November 1st -- 2:00 to 5:00 -- free and open to the public. Come on-n-n down!
