um...yeah...unusual is a good word. The image is really cool, but will the couple hang this on their wall?. They look completely unhappy and the crossprocessing only seems to accentuate that.

I think I agree with 'semeuse'. Unfortunately they don't look very happy. The effect is cool, and I think would have been really interesting on close to any subject matter besides this.
With that said, I think compositionally it's a good photograph, and the technical quality seems to be very crisp.

oo, subtext! the color treatment caught my eye in the thumbnails, but the expressions definitely make the image.

I love the expressions, the odd crop, high contrast, and the colour shift. I think it all works well and together. if I were either the bride or the groom I might be less enthusiastic.

Since this is the critique gallery I'll offer my 2p with regard to what I'd do dif and why. I think the image could be printed a hair lighter (maybe a 1/3 to 1/2 stop I'd reduce the time until the suit was the only thing that registered as black), I'd pour some magenta on it (subtract about 10 to 15 m) and possibly a bit more yellow (subtract ~5 yellow). The colour would warm up the faces and the reduction in time (which would need to be further reduced due to the reduction in filtration) would keep them from looking like they were boiled. The reduction in time might bring out a bit of detail in the eyes and shadow areas of the face. The change in colour would distance the subjects from the veil and the background, the background and the veil from each other, and warm the shadows a bit. In other words the green cyan might not be adding much and removing it might give the image a more finished look -- to my eye.

This is pure opinion -- ymmv

on third thought. Don't sdjust the yellow, reduce the time and subtract magenta.

Thanks very much for the comments! Thanks also for the printing tips jd - handy as this was printed by the lab I use, but as I now print a lot of my own RA4 it's one I'm going to be attempting (once I find the negative!)

As regards the expressions - I was hoping for an aloof and detched expression, rather than unhappy, but I guess as it is a wedding shot, becasue they are not smiling, it would be natually assumed by the viewer that they must be unhappy.
