Somewhat like watering hole, there is something off, quirky, surreal about these. And adding to it is the lean/angle to them. Just slightly off. Where I have a issue/difficulty with these alt.process type of pictures is the style over substance aspect of them sometimes. I ask myself do I like it BECAUSE of the alt aspect of it, meaning the gimmick to use a crass word, sort of like HDR in digital, or would the picture like this, say, stand up if printed "straight". Then I think, well, it is what it is, judge it on what it is, which includes the alt aspect of it. So I sort of get torn in these type of pictures. That said, it too has that Sin City vibe and I like the mystery, menace perhaps and the strangeness of it. A lot of your work has the great ability to take us to another place. Just a comment on titles. Since the picture takes us to another place, if I were you I'd be tempted to name them in a less mundane manner. I think I mentioned this on a couple of your other surreal pictures. It's like making an exotic car and naming it by an obvious name instead of an exotic name. There is a disconnect between what you have achieved here and on others, and the rudimentary names you give them. Almost like you don't really understand how good you are.

i like it a lot! so name it Duel and blansky is happy; just kidding. B has a point; in your pictures there is more to it then meets the eye; but i wouldn't care making images like these!

Good call on the Duel.

Thank you k.hendrik for your comment and also blansky for your lengthy one. I do appreciate the time you spent on writing this. (Beating me up) My latest alt series pictures are about going to a different reality and evoking an emotional response. I will let your words ruminate.

This is beautiful. What is a "modified lens" ?

I think it's a wonderful photo, regardless of what it's titled (although I agree that the title sends me to a different place than my viewing takes me).
