Dialogue

These are my first prints after 20 years. Did my best to understand and apply the zone system - as much as it can be applied to roll film. One thing is sure, I don't feel like "shooting in the dark" anymore...

Nice composition and use of depth of field.

That's pretty cool. I like the idea. And congratulations on coming back to printing. It is a wonderful feeling, isn't it?

Thank you Thomas, coming from you it means a big deal to me. I had a hell of a time printing for about 4 hours and listening to my favourite music.

Shooting 35 mm film makes it difficult to apply the zone system (its just not practical with 36 negs- I suggest that you bracket instead.) There were lots of great photographers shooting before AA appeared on the scene.
I like the composition of your picture and your control of the DOF.

Cheers

Tex, I agree it is difficult but not impossible. I load my own cassettes with 8-10 frames and use one cassette to shoot a certain subject. I label the casette N-1, N or N+1 and develop accordingly. Thank you all for your nice words, I'm encouraged to get better with my printing.
