you know Thomas, I used to camp a lot, but haven't in years. Things seemed to have changed at the camp grounds since I used to stay there.

Thomas:
This is the "real" Thomassauerwein! After studying the other recent image, for some time actually, It impresses me as someone trying to imitate a Thomassauerwein with excellent result - but....

This one has to be one of your best. How can you keep up this imaginative performance? (Mine is at a low ebb)

Lovely. If this location is anything like some of the sites in Anza Borrego SP, I hope your models received extra hazard pay... all those cactus needles lying around- ouch!!

This is great, Tom. I like the set, clouds--everything works. There is something really "California" about this shot.

Good morning guys thanks for the great comments! David this does have a California vibe to it, next time you come out plan an extra day so I can take you here it is the most amazing landscape I've seen!. Dlin, It is really funny your comment, on the second day we had shot and it got to cold for the model so we went back to camp she got warm I got my 4x5 and we took off to shoot the sunset. The light was getting really low, I was focused on getting my shot and behind me I could here Allahna talking about getting stuck by a cactus. I was more concerned with the light but her complaints got more persistant. In my mind I thought geez it's just a stinger it can wait after all the light is dissapearing we need to be respectful of the shot. Anyway I hurried the shot and went to help. The thing that attacked her had left a thorn in her thigh that was working its way under the skin. I took out my knife and tweezers and worked it out. it was 3/4 of an inch long and fat at the base. Boy did I feel like a jerk! Dr Bob, I'm shoot'n for the moon yet have not gott'n near as close as you have! Mike you should try it again some time you never know what you'll come across. I do appreciate the comments thanks a lot.
