Derelict - Dry Plate

A local landmark amongst the hiking trails of Beaver Brook. Went for a walk with the family and we finally found it yesterday.

Hollis, NH

Seneca No. 2 Dry Plate camera

Film & Developer
Homemade Photographic Emulsion Hand-coated onto 4" x 5" glass plate
Thanks, fellas. My kids thought it was pretty cool.

Grahamp: The engine is actually still there.. just sunk into the ground.

DwThomas: Not film, glass plate!

It's a film of vitreous sand bearing a film of silver-based emulsion. I call it an analog film process, regardless of the substrate. (But I didn't say it with that detail because I was keeping it short -- and my caffeine infusion hadn't kicked in .... )

I always love your plates, and this just strikes a resonant chord with sustaining positive feedback. Like @DWThomas , I like anything that smacks rust immortalized on film.
The shimmering soft reflective light off the bumper is amazing here.

Thanks, Michael. You pointed out one of my favorite aspects: the light off the bumper. I think halation really helped here.
