I like this! The lines, the tonal range, the subject matter. I love beaten down old upstate NY towns (I went to Elmira College) so thanks for the pleasant experience.
Thanks! I'm hoping I can get back there before the house falls apart (it's going to- just a matter of when). I was there on a rainy day, so it fit the subject, but it wasn't too comfortable (about 35 deg F, too).
And I know where Elmira College is, but I went to school in PA.
Bethe-you might want to break out the old cropping tools and have a looksie. There is quite a bit of good stuff going on and you might want to focus on that. I leave that up to you. Good subject though. Keep posting please...
Best, Peter
I agree, Peter. I guess this is kinda the "in context" shot. I don't like the other building showing on the right - it's in too good shape. I need to shoot more of this house, too. I didn't shoot enough the first time.
Well, it's now too late to get more shots of this house. It was torn down this week. Next time I get to Little Falls, I'll have to go look for others (I'm sure there are some).
