I always dreamed to take suprematist pictures like this ,there are online books from Malevich at somewhere at web. These lines can be composed in three dimension in a very complicated way.Malevich invented the art and declared the end of it 90 years ago. Now the widespread of computers and architecture softwares , you can create extremelly dynamic city complexes. There are many artists does it and computer codes at web also. And toys and rubic cubes which made from spatial parts and composed as a architecture. But I think I prefer curvelinear designs more like the architectural domes, shells and works like Candela or Italian designs made from thick concrete.
Thank you everyone! @Mustafa - I find these exercises great ways to keep my eye alert. They are fun to create and can give you great feedback on metering and lighting technique. They can also be as simple as arranging paper cutouts (some of this image) or creating simple 3D paper shapes (there's a cone in there), or as challenging as trying to light a black on black free-form sculpture. Despite Malevich's declaration, many artists (and not just photographers) continued in this vein - Jaroslav Rossler, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, James Welling, Barbara Kasten, ...me. As Lyle Rexer pointed out in the book "The Edge of Vision": "there have been many 'last paintings,' but no 'last photographs'". Why not give it a go instead of dreaming it?
