Azo 8x10 Contact Print. After roughly 2 years of committing myself to the big camera and contact prints, I've launched my Website and have begun listing my work on eBay. This is my first Print of the Month. I will introduce a new print at a greatly reduced price each month. As always, feedback is welcome. Meanwhile, I hope you'll take a few moments to visit my Website at www.scottkillian.com
Very nice print. I wonder what amount of KBr you use in your amidol to get that tonality. I am using about 8cc and get nice tones but not that warm.
I checked your website and it was a great experience. Your work is amazing!
How you get such nice scans?
Colivet, Thank you for the kind words. This print was made with the new Azo grade 3 which is much warmer than the previous production run. Meanwhile, the new grade 2 is a touch cooler than it used to be. I've never had absolutely consistent color with Azo & Amidol - it seems to even vary slightly with each printing session. I've exerimented with letting it sit overnight and that has produced some interesting results. The newest production run of Azo grades 2 and 3 are the best I've used so far. Grade 2 seems to have an even longer scale than before and the color of new grade 3 is great.
