Funny Larry loves the bokeh but I find it distracting and taking away from the overall feel of the image. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream I guess.
It would take a lot more than bokeh to distract me from the model, perhaps a testosterone booster might help with that
The shutter speed was 1/30, as slow as the SG can go. I have another AE on the bench at SK Grimes being fitted to an Ilex #5 so I won't have that limitation anymore.
Going back through your photographs I found this one funny. Not because of the image but because of the OF comments. As people get older, they live themselves into little boxes and have a hard time thinking anything outside those boxes is worthwhile. As I get older, I am trying to keep my mind open. It isn't that hard. In other words, I like the image. The sky looks like a reflection off water and is a bit vertigo inducing, but that adds to the image for me.
@Patrick Robert James
Thanks Patrick, in my portraits I try hard to create a beautiful atmosphere, (if you will)
around the subject. This means I have to work with wide open apertures, and if the subject moves forward or back while I load the film the key focus is blown. Consequently my success rate is low, but when I get it right it's magic. Or at least to my eye.
By the way your port hear on APUG is one of my very favorites....
