I had assumed that her eyes were closed because this was an attempt at portraying a woman in a kind of vertigo attack. The background looks as if it is revolving and everything except her face is slightly fuzzy which is always how I imagine an attack manifests itself. Using an attractive female of course helps

It's really eye catching and works brilliantly for me.

The lens didn't quite cover 8x10 and petzval lenses give that sort of curvature of field.

Hang on to that lens .. What a wonderful image - it is really beautiful.
