Hah! Hog heaven. Some of what keeps me looking is the quality of the shot for a somewhat whimsical composition. Flash is an area I'm lousy w/out all the fancy automation of nikon dig. Lighting on this is so perfect. Hog hairs could almost be counted, no flash hot spots. It may be light-hearted, but a wonderful shot.
Daisy (playing the part of the pillow) was raised from birth for competition by the young lady with the smartphone. Together they won an entire wall full of awards and ribbons. The young lady was very proud of her accomplishments, and was more than happy to say yes when asked for a photograph.
No Thanksgiving presidential pardons here. It's off to the slaughterhouse for the inevitable end of hog life. The kids get to keep the ribbons and trophies. And the sale money. They have also learned at a tender age that bacon does NOT originate in the supermarket. Rural kids are tougher than city kids.
