What film was used for this shot is this a scan directly from film? as I'de love to learn how using analog techniques I can achieve this colour saturation and contrast hand printing from enlarger to paper.
Stephen, Optima 400 120 film with a Mamiya C330 80mm lens and a flash mounted overtop the top viewing lens. The scan was done with my new flat bed neg scanner(first I ever owned) a Epson v700.
but can this colour saturation be achieved by printing this neg onto a paper stock by hand? it just looks a digital gamut. but if it can be done using traditional technique ide love to know how.
Not sure never printed it, I was just going through my negs and trying out the new scanner. I like the Kodak metalic paper..which gives a really tinny look to the image, with bright colors, sort of a negative type of Ilfordchrome. I have never printed this image and I am new to neg scanners, all I know is i scanned it straight and this is what I got. I did use the sharpen tool during the scan (no other manipulation), not sure if will look this sharp in a wet darkroom print, have to send you one I guess!
