I like it very much. Was the paper super-coated and, if so, did this affect the application and take-up of the ink at all ?

Roy, all the papers that I use for bromoil are supercoated. I actually prefer supercoated papers to non supercoated ones like Brom 240. Supercoated papers will take the ink provided the matrix is soaked in water that's 100 degree or more.
