Very nice shot - you caught a great expression. It puts Graham Watson to shame! The wide aperture/tele effect puts everything unimportant nicely out of focus, and the tones look great - on my monitor at least.

"It puts Graham Watson to shame" I blush! Graham is quite the photographer too. If you think the tones look good in the print scan, you should see the actual print. The mud splotches look virtually 3d. All of this with 35mm '50's technology film. Tell me again why some folk flock to digi-crap?

I think Mr Watson is digital now - as are most of the cycling pro -photogs. they take thousands of pictures at track meets in Manchester - and only a few show up. Unless it's Larry Hickmot and he posts most of them !
