Crouching Ent

Shot on a visit to the LaudHolm Farms Preserve in Sept., 2006. This particular area featured many trees like the one seen here, middling height, with very tangled and contorted branches, growing in fairly dense brush. Not being a tree specialist, I am not sure if the condition might be because they were fruit trees that no longer bear, or their proximity to the ocean - very close at this point.

This is beautiful..

Bert and Vic, thanks for your very kind comments. This was a neat area to photograph, with a variety of conditions, which is the kind of thing I enjoy.

Regards,
George

Bulky figures of branches create an abstract effect and make the picture outstanding.
