There is either a human-like face looking backwards and slightly upwards or there is an animal's face in profile in the light section with what was the human face forming a neck and the sunlit bank forming its body in two colours. It may be the effect of the cross processing that has made these two faces appear.It's a good effect
 
I always thought the log formed some kind of animal figure. The monochrome effect created by the cross-processing enhances the sense of shapes in the image, of course.
