I knew I wanted to print this image, but I could not figure out what to do with it. I tried conventional BW and it was pretty bland and definitely did not give the feel I had when I saw it. I ended up with Fomatone in very tired lith developer. I was really surprised at result. I printed a few because the result was blindingly yellow-orange which I was not too happy with and planned to tone it. I ended up toning it with 1:10 KRST for just about 10 seconds to get a little split tone in the shadows. I was surprised how fast this stuff tones....more dilute next time! Hope you enjoy....

real nice Mark ! like how the square panel on the bed repeats the window shape. I like the light. Of course I like the tonal color and quality .

Wow! Stunning! This is why lith is so addictive - you just don't know when you are going to get amazing results like this! (Not that I've ever had results like this, but I can dream, can't I?)

I love the composition and tone, and you convey the atmosphere you wanted to show very well here. A subtle mix of abandonment, loneliness and warmth.

Mark, that's quite something! It almost looks like one of Gene's bromoil prints, that's how intense the color is. Very cool!

Thanks. The crazy thing is that the scan color is really the print color. Don't know if I could repeat it!

It's not just the color, Mark. The composition is so well balanced, and the light is superb! Loads of mystery, and the mood is almost tangible. I think it's a really successful photograph that I wish I had a 'Favorites' button for.
