Thanks for showing us this. I'd always wondered what kind of image qualities a monobath produced - now I know, at least for this particular formula.

That print is about 8 x 12 image size. The grain is pronounced but not necessarily objectionable. The image is very sharp, everything much readable when viewed first hand. Probably not good for portraits where one is trying to flatter. But then it is Tri-X 35 mm. I have a friend I gave some Crawley's to and he has done about 10 rolls in a quart and really likes it.

Interesting. I thought that I had read that monobaths are essentially a desperate measure in desperate times, ie a photojournalist developing in a hotel bathroom. But it seems to give satisfactory results. I don't know that I'd adopt it as a standard practice but it is a neat experiment. Thanks for sharing it with us!

This is probably the best print from a monobath I've ever seen- I usually see them lacking any sort of decent tonality. Very well done!

I was teaching an advanced craft class and was looking for ways to surprise my students. I'd pass a camera around class and have them shoot each other. Then i'd have one of them load a tank and I' say, pour this stuff in. Ten minutes later, I'd take the lid off and and unroll the film. Jaws dropped. This was from one of those rolls.
