Weird, quirky, wonderful grain, ever so slightly off-symmetry. My wife might not go for it, but it would definitely find a spot on a wall in my house. Well done.

Thanks pbromaghin, I appreciate the comments. This was a fun one, quite windy, and the bug was actually getting buffetted around quite a bit and kept flapping it’s wings. Had to had to wait for a lull to trip the shutter.

That's what makes photography so great. If a visitor sees this on your wall (12x12, 16x16 with 2-3 inches of black all around) they won't be able to help themselves but to become at least slightly interested in it. Then you have a great little story to tell. You can milk it for years until your spouse gets sick of it and walks out of the room before you even start.

Just printed this image this evening, ended up printing it 10”x10” so it is destined for our wall. At 10” square it’s still pretty sharp. Lol, just can’t resist the “bug on the wall” thing. Hadn’t thought of using a black mat, that might just be the ticket.
