Apart from the cars, this could have been anytime in the last fifty years. maybe they will get WiFi soon? Americana at its best.

My wife and I actually stayed at this motel 18 years ago when we were on vacation; cheap and nice clean rooms at that time. I now have been living in New Mexico for 17 years and work in Santa Fe.
