Your choice of the fence is interesting. I've looked at it in, and cropped out. In says old versus new, and out says old. I actually like both, but I think your choice of the juxtaposition of the old ruin vs life must go on fence is the better choice. Cool picture.
 
Thanks - I nearly cropped it out to post here. On the original print there is another fence-width of image below the fence, but its printed on 9 1/2 x 12 and doesn't quite fit my scanner! The smudges in the sky aren't on the print either. 331 is very flimsy Foma RC that I picked up somewhere (but as you see it does lith). Think I'll try this again on 532.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of people arguing one way and the other on this picture, but interestingly, without, would have no controversy, while in, adds an intrusion, and a statement, and an indication that you made choices and a decision. I'd be very tempted to leave it in just for that reason, that it elevates from a picture of a ruin, which there are many, to a picture that tells a story and has a statement.
