Just my own opinion but I would like to crop out much of the left side, emphasizing the contrast between the beachfront high rises and the houses on the side of the mountain. Also to straighten the vertcal lines, the buildings seem to have a slight tilt to them.
Nice picture. It really gives you a sense of the place.
Thanks for the suggestions. The reason for not cropping is that I wanted to show the contrast of the shanty town houses on top of the hill with the million dollars condos facing the beach.
I took the picture at an angle where I was approx. 50 meters into the ocean, in a fortress at the end of the beach. The road itself is not straight, it has a small curved angle. If we draw a line over the sidewalk we will see it is straight and because of all these angles it does look a little crooked.
But I really appreciate your comments and anyone else that want to comment or make suggestions!
I'm heading back there tomorrow and will take pictures of different areas of the town! As soon as I develop and print them I'll post some here.
Very cool. Lots of layers - the people, umbrellas, the tall looming buildings and distant old houses that seem to have been excluded and forgotten. Perhaps a little off the top might stop the eye going up to the patch of sky in the corner. Great perspective.
