My parents used to go to dances at a resort a couple miles out of town back in the 1930's. I grew up 2 towns down the road, played against them in sports and drank with them after high school, but haven't been there in years. The population is down about 25% from its peak, but it appears that, like a lot of the little towns in rural America, it's still hanging on. Great, salt-of-the-earth people.
