Learnt to look out for 'back-lighting ( Contre-Jour ) over 60 years ago when I joined my first Camera Club !
The light was good here in part of Weald Country Park. The Bloke came up to me and said " Hallo Peter -- you took a photo of my Mum in 1971 for the local newspaper!"

Beautiful. Special delights are the out-of-focus leaves in the foreground.
 
Good shot. I take it that this was only a day or so ago. Early autumn when woodland is still in leaf but the contrast between light and shadow is to my eyes even stronger than in summer sun is the contre-jour season in the U.K.
 
Yes -- you were right ! Not many 'Autumn Tints' yet -- probably October will be the time then I'll use Colour !
