Tiger Moth

These images were shot by Ray Chant a friend of my grandmothers. My grandmother used to own a few planes and this is her Tiger Moth. Ray was a fellow aviator and they later got engaged. Sadly for my grandmother one night on their way out to dinner he was killed in an accident. Two years later she met another man who in time she married and is my grandfather....

Good story in these photos. Great pictures, and interesting ones at that! One of my interests is old forms of transportation; how rudimentary vessels (but once technically advanced and superior) could carry people with the same determination as modern ones, just a little slower, and perhaps with less comfort, but getting the job done.
