Thanks all. This is an image of a friend to my daughter (who is Ellen). Vendela actually went along on our road-trip from Sweden to southern France. A really brave girl since her parents weren't there.

Is this a negative scan, because the tones of the background are perfect to make the lighter tones of the girls skin and clothing really stand out from it ? I'm a portrait enthusiast, and have judged many competitions, but this is one of the best ones I have ever seen .
