Love it -- perfect casting for the Mad Hatter. Pardon what is undoubtedly a stupid question, but is it not possible to make a "re-flipped" print from the collodion plate to correct the mirror image? Here the flipped clock numbers, if anything, add to the "Mad Hatterness" but in many pictures the mirror imaging draws too much attention to itself, should be fixed somehow.
Videbaek, It depends of what're you doing - If you make a collodion negative and print on any type of paper by contact printing then you get normal images. In case of Ambrotypes you may paint with plack the front side of image rather than a back.
