I agree the Nikonos V is the perfect camera for a trip like that. And the lens is SO sharp too!

I have heard that the 35mm Nikonos lens is taken from the design for the regular (above water) Nikon rangefinder.

One problem lies in the fact that you aren't looking through the lens. This shot actually has a nice smudge cropped just out of the frame in the lower left corner. Water drop (or dried water drop), probably. I justify this because I think the composition is better with the canoe further off center.
