I find it much easier to photograph family members. They know my idiosynchrasies and are as relaxed as can possibly be. I know how to elicit a certain response also. Lovely shot BTW!

I struggle with family photographs too

Maybe they are just familiar to us and we to them

3 out of 4 of my kids (*and* my husband!) run from the camera so I'd say, yeah, I struggle. I hate that!

I understand the trouble with family shot...maybe it's because they are important to us as the photographer and it makes it difficult for us to "see" them the same way???
