Eddie, these are great. An artistic leap, I think. Are the negs distressed as well? Did you run them thru a laminating machine? What kind of toner did you use? Love 'em!

I'm using self-sealing laminating sheets. The larger negatives are hit with multiple bursts from a studio strobe, then developed. I then "chisel" out the area(s) for the smaller negatives. They are then laminated together. I leave the marks, from the chiseling, on the print. For the other work, using this technique, I do distress the background (4x5 or 5x7) negatives with sandpaper. I'm using sepia toner, which I selectively apply with small sponges, Q-Tips, etc.

Thanks for the comments. It is very satisfying to get input from people whose work I've admired for a long time. Not only does it provide instant gratification, it also helps to provide the incentive to produce more...
I'll try to get more of them up soon.

FC- I plan on doing more. Models are hard to come by, though. Right now, I'm working on trying to put together more from the Reed series (posted earlier today). I have an art festival, in May, I'm preparing for. I don't think I can hang the nudes, so I'm working on other things, right now.
BTW- The Reed series is just south of National Airport.

Very nice - good work !

Eddie this is interesting work, but on this occasion I feel that the middle picture should be a straight on shot on the model. As it is the emphasis is on the right hand side and not shared equally across the three pictures.

Very interesting technique and really worth continuing with. I agree with Tex that maybe the composition would be stronger with a straight on shot in the centre, or maybe just two images facing each other? Also maybe bringing the whole composition down a little to the centre may strenghten it? Nice work though and you have got me thinking about selective sepia toning some of my own pieces. Many thanks for sharing this.
