A very personal reading with a simple and effective interpretation. I quite like the vignette (maybe just a tiny bit too much); the framing and positioning of the branches is lovely! Great job!
 
thank you marco! when I print, I may ease up on the vignetting just a tad, but I saw the scene as slightly menacing and thought the "darkness" adds to it.

Ah, the Bashakill! I've got to spend some time there with the camera this year. You've done an excellent job with this one; the edge darkening to create a slightly sinister interpretation is entirely appropriate. Don't change a thing if you believe (as I do) that this treatment conveys the feeling you intended.
